Fantastic Drupal Training Experience

06 Marzo, 2016 I have had experience with Drupal 5, 6 and 7 before taking this class. I had only dabbled in starting to create a module for Drupal 6 several years ago. Though I have always wanted to start Drupal development since I started playing with it in version 5, I was always busy with something esle and wasn't sure if I could do it. I breezed through the first two sections of the course, the beginners and the intermediate. When I was about to the advanced section, we had a family crisis along with my regular job losing 3 people which caused my work hours to dramatically increase. I finally got back to the class about 3 months later expecting myself to breeze through the advance section and not realizing I only had a month to finish the class under the timeline. Fran and the Forcontu family were wonderful. They allowed me to extend my training by purchasing additional time. I thoroughly enjoyed the class. There is a bit of Spanish to English translation problems with the pdf files here and there, but being able to ask questions about pretty much anything helped clear up any issues. And having the resources of other students who were also participating in the forums to ask questions helped becase sometimes the questions were already asked and answered in the forums. The final for each section of the class were well done. They put to use the information used in that section and sometimes pushed you back to earlier information. My final project was challenging. Though I have created websites before, usually for myself or a friend, creating a website for something you choose means you could make it as hard or as easy as you'd like. I chose to make mine challenging for myself. I worked on creating a website for the group CO Smiles which is a not-for-profit group based in Denver, Colorado that creates professional photographs for those who cannot afford professional photography or who are in a time of need in their lives. For example, the group offered the families whose homes were destroyed in forest fires to have free family photographs taken. CO Smiles also regularly gives family portraiture to those going through difficult situations at the Ronald McDonald Houses in Denver and Aurora. They also work with families who are making their ways into better life situations through charities around Denver. Building a website for them was something I knew they wouldn't use since the group tends towards Facebook. It helped to know the group pretty thoroughly to know what would be needed and wanted, but at the same time it made my plans constantly change as I went along since I would think about new features I could implement or things I could do. To summarize, if someone is thinking about starting Drupal training with Forcontu. Do it. I had a wonderful experience. In my class there were people who were obviously very adept at Drupal and some who struggled to get through. Our teacher was there to help all along the way, even if you had a question on the final project or on an exam. I'm hoping to put my new learned knowledge into practice in building websites and hope to find a junior Drupal developer position. I can be found at TimNormanPhoto.com which is, and always will be, a website I have. Photography is a long time love too. Super complete and very well organized course

07 Julio, 2025 This Drupal 10 Back-End Expert course has been very complete and has allowed me to deepen a lot in Back-End development and better understand from the base how Drupal is structured and how it works. Until now, there were many aspects of Drupal that I did not understand very well how they worked and were for me a kind of “black box”. Now with the course I have gained a much broader view of how Drupal works internally. I think it is very well organized and the topics follow a logical... [read more] |

enriquearistidesgarciapavon | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Back-End
06 Julio, 2025 I have done several Drupal projects before, but this course has helped me delve into key aspects of back-end development that I hadn't covered in detail, such as the use of services, events and creating custom entities. The course's step-by-step approach, coupled with practical challenges and clear explanations, makes it easy to understand complex concepts and apply them immediately in real-world contexts. In addition, the structure of the syllabus is very well thought out, with a... [read more] |

05 Julio, 2025 The Drupal 10 Back-End Expert course offers a very complete training for developers looking to deepen their knowledge of Drupal development from a professional and updated approach. It stands out especially for its practical approach and for explaining not only the how, but also the why of each concept, which facilitates the consolidation of knowledge through well-planned exercises applicable to real projects. As a constructive criticism, I consider that some complex topics could be... [read more] |

04 Julio, 2025 I have been working with Drupal since I finished my studies, and this course has been key to reinforce and structure everything I have learned self-taught over the years. It has also allowed me to discover new tools, functionalities and approaches that I did not know, and that have now become a valuable complement to apply in future projects. The methodology of the course, together with the book and the practical contents, is designed to facilitate learning in a clear, progressive and... [read more] |
My experience in the Drupal 10 Back-End course
Bayest | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Back-End
03 Julio, 2025 I came to the course with previous knowledge of Drupal, although more focused on site building and with little real experience in the development of custom modules. What stands out the most about the course is its practical approach: it does not stay only in theory, but forces you to apply what you have learned through exercises and activities that simulate real development cases. At the beginning, some concepts are a bit dense (especially the part of entities and services), but thanks... [read more] |

02 Julio, 2025 The Drupal 10 Site-Building course has been very useful for me, despite having extensive previous experience in Drupal. 02 Julio, 2025 Although I have been working with Drupal for many years, the course has helped me to review in depth many parts of the backend that I use on a daily basis, and also to refresh many other things that I don't use so much. It is very well laid out, with clear explanations and practical exercises that force you to apply what you learn in a realistic way. Even with experience, there are parts that make you think and review how you do things, which is appreciated. In addition, being... [read more] |

20 Junio, 2025 The courses are quite complete and allow you to learn a lot, whether you start from scratch or if you already have some experience. Sometimes the bot can fail or fall short with some answers, but Fran responds very quickly and solves all the doubts, which is much appreciated during the development of the activities. What I liked the most was the final part, where we work with Vue, RESTful and JSON:API, since it combines what we learned with current Front-End development technologies.... [read more] |
Back-End Course Opinion
Fafard | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Back-End
20 Junio, 2025 The course in general seems to me to be very well oriented for the learning of the neophyte professional in D8/9/10, as was my case. Coming from D7 the change has been radical and what I have noticed is that it is very ambitious: it takes time to assimilate all the concepts (which I insist are many). It is mandatory to review again the concepts given during the course when creating the final project. In general I think it is a great course to open doors to this technology going from the most...
