 Forcontu's Drupal 7 Intermediate Course: An Awesome Experience!

01 August, 2015 I’ve really enjoyed both the beginner and intermediate levels of Forcontu’s Expert in Drupal 7 course. I had a little experience with Drupal before beginning this course, but the first two levels really helped me gain a better understanding of this powerful CMS. The best part of this course is the way it builds upon itself. As you move forward, you are expected to utilize the skills previously learned. Although the books offer quite a bit of guidance and the instructor is excellent, I liked how, as I made my way through the books, I had to troubleshoot through some of the tasks on my own. I’m really exited about the next portion of the course, which is the advanced level. I’m looking forward to sharpening my PHP and MySQL skills, while gleaning an even deeper understanding of Drupal itself. For the last couple of years, I’ve been learning PHP and MySQL while managing 30+ Moodle sites on a LAMP environment. My end goal is to secure a position somewhere in the Drupal community, and I really think this course can help me do that. The most important thing this course has taught me is that through grit, determination and knowledge, you can find the answer and succeed. I’m looking forward to doing that in the advanced level and beyond. |

Everything is explained quite clearly so you won’t run into any problems, and you can try out a wide variety of scenarios in each section. It’s ideal for getting started with Drupal front-end development, since it covers the essentials needed to apply front-end development professionally and according to industry standards. |

Although my work experience gave me a solid foundation in several of the modules taught, others, such as the entity browser or working with Google maps in the geolocation module, were things I had never touched before.
